Dawn Cortez McKee is a Master's level clinician with over 16 years experience in mental health. She is a licensed social worker who provides therapy for children, adolescents and families. She earned her Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from Bowling Green State University where she specialized in child clinical issues. She completed her APA internship training at Northeast Ohio University College of Medicine. Her undergraduate work was completed at the University of Michigan. Her research includes treatment efficacy in Autism Spectrum Disorders, learning styles of children for memory and academic success, the neurobiological factors contributing to autism, the neuropsychological evaluation and treatment of individuals with head trauma and treatment modalities for patients with seizure disorders. Her training includes an emphasis on family systems approach to therapy and the use of cognitive-behavioral therapies with children and adolescents. She has worked on the State board for the Ohio Autism Society and acted as Director for the New York SafeHomes program. Recently, she has taught psychology courses at the undergraduate level at Keuka College in upstate New York. |
