CINDY MCGUINNESS, LPCC, CEDS, CCDC III -E

Cynthia K. Boone-McGuinness is licensed by the State of Ohio as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, in good standing since 1992. She is a clinical member of the American Association of Marital and Family Therapists. She has been a member of the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals since 1992, and became certified as an Eating Disorder Specialist in 1994; Cynthia has been an ardent supporter of promoting awareness and improving treatment opportunities for eating disorder persons for over 15 years. Cynthia received her B.A. in Psychology from Kent State University in 1986. She was awarded her M.A.Ed. from the University of Akron in 1991, Community Counseling with a specialty in Marital and Family Therapy. Cynthia also completed requirements for her certification as a Chemical Dependency Counselor III, with an endorsement for supervising others in the chemical dependency with adolescents and working with teens with dual disorders. She regularly leads groups and workshops addressing women's issues in general, and eating disorder recovery.
