KIM ONEY, PH.D.

Dr. Oney is a licensed psychologist with experience in individual, couples, and family counseling, psychological testing, and assessment. She received a B.A. in psychology from Ohio University in 1991, an M.A. in clinical psychology from the University of Dayton in 2000, and a Ph.D. in counseling psychology from the University of Akron in 2006. She completed her internship at the Northeast Ohio Universities College of Medicine Psychology Internship Program. Dr. Oney has experienced treating a wide range of presenting concerns including mood disorders, adjustment problems, recovery from trauma, alcohol and drug dependence as well as family and relationship problems. She has taught Medical Interviewing Skills at NEOUCOM for six years, has provided community outreach presentations on a variety of topics including Women and Stress and Coping with Anxiety, and has provided training to the Juvenile Corrections Department on MR/DD issues in juvenile offenders. Dr. Oney has a special interest in issues of diversity and women's issues.
